Creative Fellow - 2D Animation
Role & Responsibilities
HAUS is seeking a talented Creative Fellow specializing in 2D animation to join our team for a semester-long internship. The ideal person will be responsible for the following:
- Create engaging 2D animations for client campaigns across social media, web, and presentation formats
- Develop animated explainer videos that translate complex deep tech concepts into accessible visual narratives
- Design and animate motion graphics for client presentations, pitch decks, and marketing materials
- Collaborate with account teams to storyboard and conceptualize animation projects concepts
- Animate infographics, data visualizations, and iconography for digital campaigns
- Support the creation of animated social media content optimized for various platforms
- Assist in developing brand animation guidelines and motion design systems for clients
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative animation concepts
- Complete a capstone project over the course of your fellowship at HAUS and present your project to the entire agency
Requirements
- No previous professional experience required
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion Graphics, Visual Communications, or a related field
- Senior entering final semester in Spring 2026
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or other 2D animation software
- Strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating animation skills and creative storytelling
- Understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, easing, etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent visual communication skills with attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to receive feedback and iterate on work collaboratively
- A deep interest in emerging science and technology
- Must love deep tech
Preferences
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
- Familiarity with Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D software
- Experience with frame-by-frame animation techniques
- Understanding of sound design and audio integration
- Knowledge of motion design trends and best practices
- Experience creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)
- Illustration or graphic design skills
