Account Supervisor

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 5 client accounts, serving as the primary day-to-day contact and strategic advisor for haus' largest and most strategic relationships
  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that drive media coverage, thought leadership, and brand visibility for frontier technology companies
  • Lead account teams including PR Account Managers, Senior Account Executives, and Account Executives, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development
  • Collaborate closely with PR Directors on strategic planning, campaign development, and high-stakes communications initiatives
  • Secure high-quality media placements in top-tier technology and business publications through proactive pitching and relationship management
  • Craft compelling narratives, press releases, bylined articles, pitch materials, and messaging documents that translate complex technical innovations into accessible stories
  • Monitor and analyze PR campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize strategies and demonstrate ROI
  • Manage client expectations, timelines, and budgets while ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Identify and capitalize on news opportunities, industry trends, and media moments relevant to client objectives
  • Lead media training sessions and prepare executives for interviews, conference presentations, and public speaking opportunities
  • Oversee quality control across all client deliverables and team outputs
  • Contribute to new business development through proposal writing, pitch participation, and strategic recommendations

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of public relations experience at a PR agency, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
  • Proven track record managing direct reports and developing junior PR professionals
  • Extensive experience working with B2B technology startups, particularly in frontier tech sectors (AI, quantum computing, biotech, robotics, autonomous systems, etc.)
  • Strong existing relationships with technology and business media contacts at top-tier outlets
  • Demonstrated success securing coverage in publications such as TechCrunch, The Information, Forbes, Fortune, Bloomberg, Reuters, WSJ, and relevant trade media
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple formats (press releases, bylines, pitches, messaging documents)
  • Deep understanding of startup communications including funding announcements, product launches, crisis management, and thought leadership
  • Experience developing and executing integrated PR strategies that align with business objectives
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to measure, report on, and optimize PR program performance
  • Excellent client management abilities including expectation setting, relationship building, and strategic counsel
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work
  • Must love deep tech

Preferences

  • Experience working with tech startups through major milestones (Series A-C funding rounds, acquisitions, IPOs)
  • Established relationships with venture capital and startup ecosystem influencers
  • Background in technology journalism or technical writing
  • Familiarity with analyst relations and industry award programs
  • Track record supporting executive positioning and C-suite thought leadership programs
  • Understanding of technical subject matter in emerging technology fields
  • Experience coordinating with creative and content teams on integrated campaigns
  • Previous experience at a boutique or specialized technology PR agency
